A shock in this semi-final of the JJ with top qualifier James Forrest (Richmond) not doing enough to make it to the Grand Final. A fall in his first ride put him on the back foot and he was only able to collect 6 points from his other 4 rides. He did manage to win the run-off series and will be first reserve for the Final. The meeting was won by Paul Hibbern (Wolston) who had 4 fine wins in his 13 point haul. He was joined on the rostrum by Malky Dawson (Whitby) and Jon Stark (Teesside) after a run off that also included Mark London (Ipswich) and Sebastien Cartwright (London). All scored 11 points and eased through to the final. Danny Davenport (Tilbury) and Connor Short (Foxhall) were fancied to qualify and duly did so as did surprise packet Gary Curtis (Tweedside).
